Stealing is on the rise this week in Brooklyn Heights. Residents need to be on the watch for sticky fingers. There have been three reported incidents that occurred over the weekend.

One Sunday, October 24, 2010, a wallet was stolen from a woman's purse while she was attending a church function. The victim had left her purse the church's maintenance room in the morning and her wallet was gone when she returned. According to the Brooklyn Eagle, the woman was at the Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims on Hicks St.

Ann Taylor Loft at 125 Montague Street had reported that they had almost $2000 worth of merchandise stolen. The thieves stole shirts and cardigans from the store on Friday, October 22, 2010 according to the 84th precinct.

The third incident also occurred on Friday afternoon on Montague Street. Display phones were stolen from AT&T located between Clinton and Court Streets.
