Incubus

Incubus is a local band from the neighborhood "Calabasas." They attended Calabasas High School and they were already recognized in the area.
They are local band and their songs depict the local spots and experience. Incubus is a band from the 90's with a different sound. All of Incubus songs display a development from young "Guys" to "Adults" in each album with a different sound and lyrics. I think I was a fan of Incubus before they became worldwide known. All of the band members are amazing musicians and artists, along with the main charismatic vocalist Brandon Boyd.

From the "Morning View" album Blood On the Ground, Under My Umbrella, Mexico, Aqueous Transmission and Are you in? The "Morning View" album contains songs that are my favorite of all. The songs and their lyrics were deep in that phase especially "Warning." "...She knew that her life had passed her by..." "...Don't ever let (your) life pass you by..." I still sing, "...Let Your life... I feel as a warning to me!

I must say that I love all of their songs and the new albums depict their expansion as artists and people. Incubus keeps getting better as they grow more mature and versatile. The songs from more recent albums as "Dig," Megalomaniac," "Oil And Water" depict this versatility in their sounds.

"Morning View" is my favorite album for representing a tough time that helped me to cope with life. I still want to read Brandon's books "White Fluffy Clouds" and"From the Murks of the Sultry." "White Fluffy Clouds" that was written in the very early years of Incubus. Their DVD "Look Alive" demonstrates this eclecticism in their work.

I hope they become as "Rolling Stones" after many decades still together and creating vibrant sounds. Incubus created "The Make Yourself Foundation" in 2003. "The Make Yourself Foundation is a non-profit organization that funds various causes and charities both locally and around the world that are important to Incubus."
