Follow the Fireworks! a Guide to Watching the Skies on Independence Day

N. Soltys
Las Vegas has always been known to produce some of the most extravagant fireworks displays in the country. The bustling strip, packed with tourists from all over the world aiming their cameras at the sky, will be in for quite a bit of upset when they come to find out that there are no public fireworks displays on the strip on Independence day. To see the fireworks clearly from the private shows on the hotel tops, you have to be invited to the exclusive private parties that host them. So where do you and your family go in Las Vegas to see the world-famous fireworks displays? Here's a helpful list of public fireworks you can enjoy no matter who you are.

The Night of Fire at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Bullring will have a display at 7:00 p.m. on the evening of July 3rd. The events preceding the display will be a night of NASCAR stock car racing. NASCAR celebrity Kyle Busch among other famous racers will be attending the event. Admission is $10.

The 8th Annual Independence Day Jubilee at James Seastrand Park in North Las Vegas is a promising place to watch an amazing display. There is no admission, and there is live music, food vendors and lots of activities for children and the entire family. The Park is located at 6330 Camino Eldorado in the beautiful Northern part of Las Vegas. Festivities begin at 6:30 and end at 9.

The Las Vegas 51s host a fireworks display at Cashman's Field, which always proves to be a spectacular show. Admission is $13 dollars. Though this is one of the pricier displays in Las Vegas, the game, the music, the food, and the entire ordeal proves to be a fun night for you and your family.

59th Annual Boulder City Fireworks show will begin at dusk, located at Veteran's Memorial Park in Boulder City. Before the fireworks, in the early hours of the morning, there will be a pancake breakfast, and a parade on Nevada Way. There will also be a day-long celebration at Broadbent Park beginning at 11 a.m. Admission is free.

The Star Spangled Spectacular will be held at Hills Park, in Summerlin. Truly an excellent collection of festivities here! The Las Vegas Philharmonic with music director David Itkin will fill the night with patriotic music. The fireworks show begins at 8 p.m., and has been known to be one of the very best in the country. You need tickets to attend! Get your tickets at www.lasvegasphilharmonic.com .

The Henderson Fourth of July celebration will take place in Henderson's Events Plaza and the surrounding streets. There will be live jazz on stage, and the Henderson Symphony Orchestra playing patriotic tunes to the public all night. Randy Anderson will also make an appearance on the Convention Center front stage. There will be line dancing and children's activities, rides, food vendors, and a massive fireworks display starting at 9.p.m. Admission is free!

Hi Nichole- I was going to do a piece on Vegas fireworks, but you have done a superb job already. Do you think we need another?
