For those who want a more friendly way to celebrate Halloween with their family, here is an interesting alternative that children will especially love.
WHAT: The 20th Annual Enchanted Forest
WHEN: October 21/22 and October 28/29 (Friday and Saturday)
TIME: 7-9 p.m.
WHERE: George Owens Nature Park
LOCATION: 1601 S. Speck Rd, Independence, MO
ADMISSION: $3.00 per person

HIGHLIGHTS:
Children will be greeted by Effie, the Forest Fairy. While walking through the well-lit forest, visitors will see familiar characters from nursery rhymes, fairy tales and story books come alive.
The evening will conclude with a hay ride that will take them to a surprise location that marks the 20th anniversary of this unique and much-loved celebration.
So if scary is not your thing, enjoy an enchanted evening instead. It promises to be a lot of fun.
