The restaurant itself is small. There are only two rooms for seating in addition to the kitchen area. There is no bar or lounge area. The rooms are very pleasantly decorated and are not cheesy at all. The walls are a beautiful rust color, original oil paintings adorn the walls and each table has a little lamp that contains a tea light candle, which is lit by the server when you are seated. Subtle, jeweled lamps hang from the ceiling, making the atmosphere intimate but not so dark that you cannot see the people that you are eating with or the food that you are eating. The restaurant as well as the restroom area is impeccable - sparkling clean. I have eaten at India Palace on numerous occasions and have yet to see it in any form of disarray.
The food is amazing. India Palace serves authentic Indian food. The chefs will tailor the spiciness of various decisions to your liking, so the food is never too spicy or not spicy enough. They have a large selection of appetizers, fish, lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes to choose from, including selections that can be cooked in a Tandoor oven. There is literally something for everyone and the hardest part about dinner will be deciding what to order. There are nights that I go there during which I wish that I could bring the entire menu home with me. Their prices are extremely reasonable as well, considering the quality and the quantity of food that you are provided with. I never leave India Palace without a bag.
My favorite dishes include the vegetable samosas (appetizer), the Tandoor mixed grill (which consists of shrimp, lamb, chicken and vegetables grilled in the Tandoor oven), and spicy Chicken Vindaloo. I have yet to try dessert as I am often too full by the time the main course is over. The service is impeccable - prompt, attentive and respectful.
This restaurant is a must visit!

Post a CommentI've done some research and, as it turns out, the "person" that claims that the staff at India Palace are arrogant is from Pakistan.
as far as i am concerned i have tried both their buffet and dinner and it was fantabulous. I totally disagree with the above posting where the person has mentioned about the people being arrogant. The servers were so helpful. Gratitude is a two way procee may be the poster does not undertand that. you should know that when you point a finger on the other person the rest four are pointing towards "you".
I visit India Palace regularly and have for several years and have never had an experience such as sb described. In my experience, they have been consistently polite and attentive but no hovering, have always asked us how our food was and whether the spiciness was to our liking, etc. We've met no arrogance from anyone there, but rather friendly greetings and a warm welcome. I hope sb gives them another chance. They - and sb - deserve it.
I went to India Palace Nashua NH twice and both occasions I had bad experience. The service was lousy and people were very arrogant. I wont recommend India Palace to any body, especially people with family. I learned my lesson; no more India palace.
