Indiana County, Pennsylvania's Best First Date Locations

Commodore, Starford, Clymer, Pennsylvania

Commodore, Pennsylvania isn't much of a town today. An old mining town outside of Indiana, Pennsylvania, it now has a post office, a community center, a fire station, a municipal building, an auto body shop and a gas station/restaurant. That is all that is left of this once booming town. Very quiet and wholesome country town, there isn't much for a young couple to do, or places for them to go. Most enjoy the quiet peaceful atmosphere of the local restaurant.

Betty Lou's is the name of this somber little business. It is locally owned and has been since its conception 20 years ago. A soft serve ice cream stand, in the beginning of its business life and emerging into a family style restaurant in its older years. Offering a home cooked meal to all of its customers on a daily basis. A very budget, friendly family home restaurant.

Starford, Pennsylvania is much like Commodore, only smaller. It is less than a mile from where I reside at. This small little town has become my number 1 place to go. For inside it, is a little gem.

Bootleggers Bar and Grill. Established in 2003 by four brothers this little bar has earned numerous fans, young and old. It is the type of place where you can go with your friends to party and have a good time, or you can have a nice date night with your love, even a dinner with your parents. It is very well rounded as far as its customer range goes. A great bar because of the high standard rules they have made. There is a no chance fighting rule. If you fight once you are banned for life. This makes it a stress free atmosphere, happy, and fun.

Clymer, Pennsylvania is the biggest of the three towns located close to where I reside. The town has the necessities of everyday living a person would want, gas stations, restaurants, hardware stores, tanning and hair salons, a grocery store, a park and much more.

Among the restaurants, one sticks out in my mind, Luigi's Ristorante. Open since 1984 and run by a family of old school Italians this restaurant has a touch of class. Luigi's welcomes anyone, doesn't matter what you are dressed like, Jeans and a T shirt, a sports uniform, or a Suit, all are invited to enjoy the care free atmosphere and delectable menu items. Having eaten their a few times, I would recommend this as a first date spot, being that the mood is set to a 1940s theme. An area of romance and appreciating what you have.
