IRCIL Holds Its 2008 Annual Meeting

The Indiana Resource Center for Independent Living (IRCIL) held its 2008 annual meeting in Indianapolis this evening. Aside from conducting business at hand such as revision of its bylaws and the election of committee members, there were several speakers who provided a very human insight into issues surrounding the inclusion of disabled citizens.

Speaker Dan Wilkins

Among these speakers was Dan Wilkins (see his speech transcript here), an independent business owner and recognized advocate for the inclusion rights for disabled citizens in the world designed for able-bodied people.

Awards to Committee & Board Members

IRCIL also presented several awards to its many committee and board members - one of which went to a contagiously affable George Rush (see accompanying picture) - for their dedication and hard work this past year.
