I know it's late, but Loon Lake Lodge on E. 82nd St. has what looks like a nice Thanksgiving buffet for $27.95. They are serving until 6, and, as of 12:30 Tuesday, still has some openings. www.loonlakelodge.com

When relatives weren't around, I used to love going to an old hotel or inn for Thanksgiving dinner but the kids always preferred the "plain vanilla" turkey and trimmings from home and complained about garlic infused mashed potatoes and the like.

I cannot believe how expensive these are! You're money ahead to make it all from scratch at home! However, Cracker Barrel always has a good Thanksgiving buffet for a more-than-fair price, though. Nice job on this!
