Indications of a Cheating Spouse

How to catch a cheating spouse? That is a question that often gets asks when a person is convince that their husband or wife is cheating on them. Of course that applies to any significant other who may be cheating on you. I have never cheated on anyone I have dated (never married) but I was involved with a married woman in my younger, less moral years. For this article I also talked to a few cheaters and those who have been cheated on.

There are a few tips I will share for catching a cheating spouse, and most apply to a woman or a man who is cheating. If I think of any more indications of a cheating spouse I will add them in the comments below. I will also answer any questions and most comments left in that section at the end of this article.

Cheating spouses tend to be very guarded with their email accounts and cell phones. Of course some people are just private but often they have something to hide if they don't want you reading their stuff or know who they talk to.

There are ways to see what your husband, or wife is doing on the internet. You can install a key logger which will tell you what they are typing online. Be warned though while it can be difficult to detect a key logger on a computer, it can be done. I know one guy who visits porn sites because he knows his wife is monitoring him. He does it to piss her off!

Changes in routine are a big tip off that a significant other may be cheating. Of course many jobs do cause changes in routine but it's fairly easy to check and see if work hours have been changed. One of my ex girlfriends started working an hour extra a day or so she said. I hid my car near her work one time and walked over to the parking lot where I saw her sitting in a guy's car. Was she cheating? Probably but I didn't catch her exactly in the act, but it was enough proof for me to dump her.

Lack of interest in sex with their partner can be a indication of cheating but not always. Sometimes people get into a funk about life in general and lack of sex can be a side effect. Or maybe you just have bad breath! But a sudden lack of interest in sex is possibly a indication that they are getting it somewhere else.

Keeping in contact with their ex is in my opinion a indication of a cheating spouse. Now the exception is when kids are involved. You can't expect your husband, wife, whatever to not speak to their baby mama or daddy. It is best for the kids that their parents pretend to get along even if they hate each other's guts.

But if a person is trying to be just friends with their ex I think it is from one or both of them keeping the door open to starting up the relationship again. Of course that isn't always the case but I expect it is most of the time.

Facebook, Twitter, Myspace or whatever social networking service being used. If a person is very active on one of these it could be a indicator that they are looking to cheat. Of course they very well may just like to use the services in a benign way as well.

If they leave their status as single and are not, then that is not a good sign for their significant other. You can always make a fake Facebook account and try to hit on them. Don't make one and start flirting with them on its first day in existence. A smart person will check the account and see how old and active it is before even replying to somebody hitting on them.
