Destiny played a heavenly game
And delivered her decree
The pair strolled on
Under the indigo sky, that by then had lit up
The moon gave them the candlelight
The stars winked in collaboration
They talked and talked
Telling each other all their dreams
Her words painted the landscape of his heart
Making life brilliant and mystifying
He told her of all his hopes
She fell in love
In love with the soul reflected in his eyes
A soul inhabited by true beauty
As the sun began to rise
They said farewells
Parting ways but promising to meet again
Years and what seemed a lifetime later
They met again
This time words became unnecessary
It seemed as if nothing had changed
Nothing important had
