Indispensable Industries: Cool New Fashions and Accessories for the New Year

Indispensible Industries is a new company with fashions and accessories designed for surfers and skaters. You do not have to be a surfer or a skater, however, to appreciate their designs and their message. The designer, J-Rich, has relatively few fashions and accessories so far, but is expecting to expand his line. I can't wait.

Indispensible Industries has a small variety of T-Shirts, including a couple of shirts for girls, a hat, and some stickers. Personally, I love the stickers. The "Indispensible" message is perfect for your laptop, car, favorite briefcase, or anything else you consider to be "indispensible." The T-Shirt is obviously great as well because all of us are, of course, indispensible.

I think this line of clothing conveys a great message, which I am not sure the designer realizes. Besides simply stating that the person or object wearing the message is indispensible, fashions also send the message that you do not have to be stupid, disgusting, a bimbo or a "ho" in order to convey a cool message with your clothing. I am tired of butts that say "cheeky" or "angel," shirts that make stupid or disgusting remarks or display a meaningless logo. This is a line of fashion that has a great message built right into the company name (another ingenious move by J-Rich, since the automatic assumption is that the company itself is indispensible).

The shirts grab your attention in creative ways with tricks such as listing the name of the company lengthwise down the side of the shirt to the bottom. This trick always causes people to cock their heads so you know they are trying to read your shirt. I love that.

Another cool thing the Indispensible Industries line of fashion has going for it is their logo. Their logo is actually sort of cryptic. Having a cryptic logo probably wouldn't work for some companies, but it seems to be perfect for Indispensible Industries. The message, "indispensible" is a big word, after all. It is not "fluffy" or meaningless like "princess" or "pink." It is meaningful and cool at the same time. Imagine that. Many people never figure out the logo, and have to ask someone who know or contact the designer. It generates a bit of mystery, and always raises curiosity. I love to watch people try to figure it out. I was in the same boat at one point. I had to contact the designer to find out the meaning of the logo, although it turns out I came closer than most people.

The applications for this idea are endless. I am looking forward to seeing what else Indispensible Industries comes up with in the way of fashion and other accessories. Since the "indispensible" statement covers a rectangular area, while the logo is square, it expands the possibilities even more. Personally, I'd like to see them take it beyond fashion a bit more with a sticky note cube. I feel that my sticky note cube is indispensible (in fact, I just grabbed another one), so perhaps they could make one with the logo on the sides in different colors. It would be great for the office, since the logo is a simple but fashionable design, perfect for an office setting. It would be sort of an inside joke. I feel that my sticky note pad is indispensible, but nobody else needs to know.

J-Rich, and the others at Indispensible Industries, are obviously very talented. I hope to see their company grow and become very successful. I hope to see more of their creative ideas. Perhaps they will come out with swim suits and a line of jeans and sweat pants. I would like to see some fashion accessories for women as well, like little logo earrings or other simple jewelry for both men and women. Most of us could use a jacket for the winter. A logo leather jacket would be great.
