Inexpensive but Good Christmas Gifts for 2008

Bill Frische
Is your budget being stretched this holiday season and you have not even started shopping? Black Friday deals not good enough? Read on for some great ideas for inexpensive Christmas gifts. These ideas will also work great for stocking stuffers.

Candy: Everyone loves some type of candy and you can get very creative with this. You will need to get your recipient's favorite type of candy. Once this task is accomplished you can get a creative glass jar at Goodwill for very cheaply - heart shapes, Christmas tree shapes, etc...work well. Then fill the jar full of candy and wrap it up. You can usually do this all for under six or seven dollars.

Amazon.com Gift Card: If your recipient uses their resources wisely, a ten dollar Amazon.com gift card could get them up to 10 video rentals. This is actually one of my personal favorites. The gift is good for someone who spends a lot of time on the computer and also watches movies on their TiVO or computer. Amazon's video service works only on PC's.

Chocolate Utensils: If someone on your gift list enjoys chocolate, you can create them chocolate dipped utensils. Spoons work good for coffee to add some chocolate flavor to stirred coffee. Just get come inexpensive plastic silverware and dip it a few times in warmed up chocolate.

Framed Art: One of the best gifts I ever got my wife was some framed artwork. Of course, the artist was pretty much and unknown outside our family! I got some of my son's school art drawing and went to the craft store and bought an inexpensive frame for it. This makes a great gift for your spouse.

Housework Coupons: Certain jobs exist around the house that people just do not want to do. In my house, that job is snaking the drain. An nice and inexpensive gift for your house mate is to create a coupon book of those nasty jobs - as well as some not so nasty jobs. Wrap it up and give it to your recipient and they are guaranteed to be grateful.
