Inexpensive Christmas Gift Ideas: Coupon Books, Mugs and More

Are you looking for inexpensive Christmas gifts ideas but hate to have it appear as though that is exactly what you have done? Look no further.

One of the best received items I give out are body product gift baskets I create from items at none other than the dollar store. I have several friends and family members who I know never step foot into the dollar store, so they would have no idea that that is where there basket of goodies is coming from. The dollar stores have awesome products this time of year including fun baskets, as well as lotions, body sprays, body washes, etc. Gather a few or as many of the items as you want, place them in a basket in a nice collective way and you've got a gift basket that cost you anywhere from $5 that would have cost a heck of a lot more from one of the bigger named stores.

Another gift I've given that is also always well received are tins of fudge and cookies. As well, the dollar store has really cute holiday themed tins this time of year that are the perfect size for a homemade batch of fudge or chocolate chip cookies. Have a special recipe? Why not print a copy of it on nice paper and include it with your tin! That way the receiver can fall in love with the cookies and make them in the future!

In addition tins of cookies, mugs and packets of hot chocolate are a perfect gift for a fellow co-worker or a new friend whom you may not know that well. The dollar store has tons of different and unique mugs allowing you to find the perfect one for each individual on your list. Then buy a box of hot cocoa mixes, and a box of candy canes, stick one of each into the mug, wrap the mug with some ribbon and you've got yourself a cute gift to give!

If you've got little ones that you're planning to give to, instead of giving them a bunch of little things, or having to spend quite a bit on a bigger gift - instead, go get a mason jar, cut an opening on the top, and give them a baggy of change. Whether it's quarters or pennies, children and toddlers love to put money into things, as well they can use the money to start a savings of their own.

Another inexpensive holiday gift idea is a coupon book. I know we've all heard of it before, but really, for that special person on your list, this is ideal. Fill the book with things that you wouldn't normally do, or wouldn't normally do without complaining. If it's for your female spouse, perhaps include cooking dinner, a foot rub, a full body massage, etc. Or if it's for your male spouse you can include watching a football game or your favorite movie without complaining, your pick of the date night, etc. If you actually allow your partner to use the coupons they will be well received and fun for everyone.

Whatever your budget, Christmas and the Holiday season doesn't have to be expensive - but it can be individualistic, fun, and festive!
