Lotion: Lotion is a great inexpensive gift for all the teen and adult women on your Christmas list. Most women like lotion, and many enjoy lotion from Bath & Body Works or Victoria's Secret.
Bath & Body Works has lotion in several scents, including peach, coconut lime verbena, cucumber melon, cherry blossom, irresistible apple, midnight pomegranate, mango mandarin, sensual amber, sea island cotton, warm vanilla sugar, sweet pea, and many more. Bath & Body Works also carries a special holiday collection, which contains the scents Twisted Peppermint, Winter Candy Apple, and Vanilla Bean Noel. You can purchase lotion at Bath & Body Works for $10.50 each.
Victoria's Secret also has a variety of scents women love, including Love Spell, Sweet Daydream, Berry Kiss, Pear Glace, Vanilla Lace, Amber Romance, Endless Love, Strawberries & Champagne, Slice of Heaven, Appletini, Juiced Berry, and many more. You can purchase lotion at Victoria's Secret for $9-12 each.
Department stores, such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target have lotion in different scents near the makeup department for $5-10 per bottle.
Books: Books make good inexpensive Christmas gifts as well. If your family member of friend likes to read, get him or her a book by his or her favorite author or in his or her favorite genre. If you don't know your loved one's favorite author, you can ask the bookstore employees for good recommendations in a specific genre.
Mystery, romance, and other fiction books can generally be purchased at your local bookstore or major bookstores, such as Borders, Walden Books, or Barnes & Noble for between $10-20 each.
Tear-Off Calendars: Everyone can use a calendar, and the tear-off calendars would make a good inexpensive Christmas gift. You can get 2009 tear-off calendars with practically any theme you can think of! For instance, on Amazon.com, they sell cat, what do you know about wine, New York Times crossword puzzle, World Almanac, car talk, and more.
Many malls have kiosks and booths set up right now where you can browse tear-off and regular calendars as well. Department stores, such as Target, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart also have a limited selection of tear-off calendars. Typically, you can purchase 2009 tear-off calendars for $10-15 each.
CD: A lot of people enjoy listening to music, so another great inexpensive Christmas gift idea is to purchase a CD for your loved one. If you know your loved one's favorite artists, you can purchase a CD by one of his her favorite artists. Otherwise, you can purchase a CD by a new singer in your loved one's favorite genre of music so that he or she can experience a new artist's talent.
CDs can be purchase in department stores and in music stores, and large bookstores, such as Barnes & Noble and Borders.
Cookies, Brownies, or Soup in a Jar: Cookies, soup, and brownies in a jar also make good inexpensive Christmas gifts. These jars come with the ingredients of the product mixed together and a card with instructions on how to make the soup, cookies, or brownies attached to the lid of the jar.
You can purchase cookies, brownies, or soup in a jar for approximately $5 each at department stores.
Gloves: I think most of us could use a spare pair of gloves. I know I'm always forgetting mine at home, and I'm sure other people are, too. It'd be great to have a pair of gloves to keep in the car, so when you forget yours at home, you'll have another pair waiting for you in your cat. You can buy men's and women's gloves in different fabrics, styles, and colors at department stores for $5-15 per pair.
Gift Cards: I think gift cards are one of the best inexpensive Christmas gifts you can get someone. Not only do you get to control how much you spend on the gift, the recipient gets to choose a gift that he or she really wants or needs. You can either purchase gift cards at the store you want to get the gift card for or at your local grocery store. Grocery stores are starting to carry gift cards for many popular stores like Starbucks and Borders.
These are just a few of the great inexpensive Christmas gifts you can purchase for your loved ones this season. I hope you found some ideas here that are helpful while you do your holiday shopping this year!
