Inexpensive Christmas Party Favors

Sammie Brown
It's hard when that time rolls around to decide what favors to use for your Christmas party without breaking the bank. So, I've compiled a list of some budget-friendly, easy to find Christmas party favors that your guests are sure to love. Note: Prices listed here are from Kmart stores. You may expect a slight variation in price depending on where you choose to buy the favors.

Favors for $1

Holiday Tin Ornaments: These are filled with either Nestle Crunch, Butterfinger, or Baby Ruth and they're great for candy lovers (and who attending a Christmas party ISN'T a candy lover?). They're in cute little tins that can be reused for various purposes. These are great for both formal and informal parties.

Gourmet Fudge Tin: For those that love fudge, this is an awesome gift. The tin, like the others, can be used again and are cute. The portions are small, but perfect for favors for both informal and formal parties.

Gingerbread Cookie In Tin: The title says it all. Gingerbread is the perfect symbol for Christmas, and the tin is conveniently reusable. This is best for informal parties.

Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Tin: Best for any females attending your party. There's nothing better than chocolate on chocolate, and a cute, reusable tin. These are great for informal parties.

Favors for $2 and Under

Marshmallow Santa 4 pack: For $1.99 you can get four party favors in one. These tasty chocolate marshmallows are shaped like Santa and are absolutely perfect for informal party favors.

Russell Stover Assorted Chocolate (2 oz): Great for informal and formal parties alike, your guests will love their own little box of chocolates. Most people love to receive chocolates and you can buy one of these for only $1.19, so it's not too much to spend either.

Christmas Peeps: A tradition in our family is to get peeps for just about every holiday, so this is a must-have party favor for our family. A lot of people absolutely adore these little sugar-covered marshmallows and a whole pack of them is only $1.25, good mostly for informal parties.

Candy Canes: This is the most traditional party favor you can find, so I would suggest if you're going to use it add a little spice to it. There are various interesting candy cane flavors that your guests might enjoy trying. For example, Spree Candy Canes, Jolly Rancher candy canes, Gobstopper candy canes, Starburst candy canes, etc. These are great for formal and informal parties alike. You might be able to catch these on sale, too. At Kmart they're having a sale for 3 for $5.

Kiddie Cane: For the children favors at your party, the Kiddie Canes are a cute way to please them and they're the only favors needed for children. These plastic candy canes are filled with fun candy like mints, bubblegum, and other various hard candies that children love to eat. They are great for both formal and informal parties and can be found for $1.99.

Reeses Santa Cane: This little plastic cane is filled with miniature Reeses peanut butter cups, which a lot of candy lovers will very much enjoy getting. These are great for both formal and informal parties and are available to buy for $1.99.

Hershey Kiss Filled Candy Cane: Filled with Hershey kisses, chocolate lovers will enjoy this little favor. Like the other plastic candy canes, these are available for $1.99 and are great for both formal and informal parties.

Sweethearts Funbook: This little funbook has sweethearts inside it and it's very cute and enjoyable to receive. My friends have given this to me as Christmas gifts before and I love getting it. It's a cute way to dress up a candy that a lot of people already love. These are great for informal parties and are available for $1.99.

Favors For $2 And Up

Lifesavors Storybook: Another rather cute storybook that people will love to get as long as they like lifesavors. I'm not big on them myself, so I always ended up giving mine away, but I know that most of my family absolutely loved to get them. They're great for informal parties and cost $2.99.

Fundip Funbook: This is my absolute favorite party favor because I absolutely adore fundip and I can hardly ever seem to find it anymore. Fundip isn't as popular among the adults, I've found, but this is another good one for children that love to eat the powder and chew on the edible sticks. Great for informal parties, these can be purchased for $2.39.
