Inexpensive eco-friendly stocking stuffers are in abundance, but if you don't know where to find them it can be a time consuming shopping trip. Some of the most unique and earth friendly jewelry I own has been re-purposed from vintage jewelry, broken jewelry, and other odds and ends that would otherwise make its way to a landfill. There are hundreds of online shops carrying recycled pieces now, but I like to head to Etsy, where everything is handmade and the selection is updated everyday because of the unique setup the website has with its sellers. Basically, sellers are given their own store to stock and manage, so you can find whatever you are looking for in any price range. A great way to support small business artisans and add a beautiful handcrafted gift to Christmas stockings is to browse the selection at ebay's World of Good website. There is no bidding necessary, all the gifts can be outright purchased, though everything is made in very limited quantities and come from artisans located worldwide.
