Adding fall leaves to your home decorating is a lovely way to bring fall into your home. For this craft you will need several leaves of various sizes and shapes. You will also need paint, paper plates, paper towels, a plain table runner, and newspaper. Start by laying newspaper on your table to completely cover it. Then lay the table runner on the table.

Pour some paint on the plates. Now lightly dip the flat side of the leaf into the paint. Press it lightly on the paper towel to remove the excess paint. Then lay it on the table runner and gently rub the entire back of the leaf to leave a print on the table runner. Carefully remove the leaf and the repeat with different leaves until you have created a lovely fall pattern.

Fall themed Lampshade

A fun and easy fall decorating idea for your home is a fabric collage lampshade. For this inexpensive craft you will need several scraps of fall themed fabric, scissors, paint, a paintbrush, a lampshade, water, and a small bowl or cup. Start by mixing the water and glue until it is easy to manipulate with the paintbrush.

Then use the glue to coat the top edge of the lampshade. You will want to evenly coat the top edge of the lampshade and about 3 inches down from it with glue. Start applying the fabric by placing a scrap on the glue covered area. Use the paintbrush to remove air bubbles. Add another scrap overlapping it and continue all the way around the edge.

Remember to fold excess over the top edge for a finished look. Then continue down the lampshade until the entire thing is covered. Add glue to overlapping edges of fabric to secure it in place. When the glue has dried you can place the lampshade on top of your lamp for a unique fall decorating touch.
