The holidays are coming and we are making our lists. One of the hardest people to shop for on the list seems to always be the boss. What do we get for someone who can pretty much buy whatever they want? Here are some helpful ideas for inexpensive gifts for your boss.

Homemade gifts are inexpensive, unique and easy. A tin of homemade cookies, cake or candy are very much appreciated. Or perhaps you are good at making crafts. A homemade blanket or other craft also shows your creativity and is surely one of a kind.

A variety of gift baskets you can put together with some of their favorite items is also a great easy idea. Choose from food, bath, books, beverage, the ideas are unlimited.

A bottle of wine or other liquor is usually a safe bet. A nice basket with a few inexpensive wines will make an easy gift. You can also add food, such as cheese, glasses or wine glass charms to complete the gift.

Find out their favorite author or if there is a book they are meaning to get. Not only does this show that you are listening to them, but it's something that they really want and will appreciate.

Desk decorations and different kind of gadgets always seem to go over well. How about a beautiful photo frame or box, the newest calculator, their favorite character's calendar, or a unique paperweight? Gifts.com has several interesting desk gadgets including a levitating globe, golfer's desktop décor, colorful personalized memo pads and world time desk clocks.

If your boss is an avid golf or tennis player or just a sports fan, there are many types of easy inexpensive gifts you can give. Golf balls and tees, tennis accessories, towels, caps and t-shirts are all popular ideas.

If you have a boss that travels a lot, a travel guide, a personalized passport holder or travel kit can come in handy.

Does your boss have a favorite charity? Making a small donation in their name not only is tax deductible, but you are also helping a needy cause.

Finally, if you are really at a loss, you can always take your boss to a nice lunch.
