Inexpensive Gifts for Easter

Nice Children Gifts

Mrs.Rogers
Easter, the smells, the colors, and the items that display lots of color and lots of newness. I especially remember all the Easters as a child and the anticipation of getting the most special baskets filled with candy and things from the "Easter bunny".

Every child no matter how old, loves seeing those goodies and those neat items in their baskets, or in a gift box just for themselves from someone who knows them and loves them. You can surprise them and then watch those glowing smiles and faces, as they tear into the nicely decorated baskets on Easter morning.

Filling an Easter basket does not have to be difficult and there are many things that you can choose to add to your baskets and boxes. First though their are some different types of things you can choose to be your theme.

Putting together different themed things can help give you a better idea if you want to go that way in deciding what to fill the gift basket with. Favorite sports is a great theme, especially if you have a son who is into that. Say if the sport is soccer, which one or two times it has been in this house, here are some things to consider adding,
*Sweatbands (for the wrists or head)
*Water bottle (maybe different shapes or sizes)
*colored themed shoe laces, like school colors, team colors, etc.
*sports bars, snacks with protein for more energy (this is for the older children)
*New socks, (follow a team color here).
*Hair bands or barrettes for the girls, or ties or scrunchies.
*candy shaped or wrapped in the theme, (soccer, basketball, football, tennis, etc.)
*band-aids, maybe even alcohol swabs, (be creative)
These are just a few things you can place in a basket, duffel bag, etc. to give for Easter.

Another idea would be a color theme. This works well with girls. Some suggestions might be,
*Hair essentials, like brushes, barrettes, hair scrunchies, mirrors, or compacts,(all in their favorite colors).
*Nail polishes, and removers
*lip glosses, or lipsticks
*Nail embellishments
*Earrings
*note pads
*pens
*stationary sets
*fake flowers added in the basket, make a nice touch
*footsies(favorite color, of course)
*gloves, or scarf, or toboggans(favorite color as well)
*change purses
*wallets,
*pocketbooks
I think you get the idea. These of course should be themed to a particular color, maybe even a shape. Or maybe you can be creative and make a multi-themed item basket or box.

If you child has a certain interest, or a certain hobby, you can feed of off this to make your gift basket, Easter basket or box. Some thoughts here are,
*Coin collector- find coin looking candy, find some coin fact books, find the latest coin book and add it.
*Pet lover- find a Dog Fancy magazine, and add it, or a Horse magazine, whatever their favorite animal is. Add some treats for their animal, if they have one. Add a stuff replica of their favorite animal, or a picture display, poster or a make it yourself art craft with their favorite pet on it.
*Stamp collector- Find a stamp book, more stamps, or a guide to stamp collecting and add these.
*Flower lover- add fake flowers, add cute vase, maybe some things to start their own herb garden, or a Chia pet, maybe even include posters, or picture books of flowers. Getting stationary with flowers, stamps and stickers. Pens with flower heads or otherwise, can be a good addition here.
*Craft person- the ideas here are unlimited. Add kits, supplies, and such to their baskets, and boxes.
The possibilities are endless in these areas. Use your imagination.

Most of the things mentioned here, can be found at your local Walmart store, or at AC Moore, or Target. Walmart is one of the lowest priced places around. I would think that any Dollar General, or Dollar store could offer you unlimited options as well. Ask around and get ideas from your friends, co-workers, or family.

Easter for kids can be a great time to restock them on their hobbies, interests, or otherwise. Take this opportunity to get them something that is fun, creative and inexpensive, but that will lift their smiles, attitudes, and pleasures.
