Inexpensive Gifts for Your Significant Other

Alyssa Russo
Buying a gift for your significant other, even if it is a not a special occasion, is a nice way to show that you were thinking of them. Here are a few inexpensive but nice gift ideas that you can get for your significant other.

Make them a cd or buy and download a list of their favorite songs. Put together a music cd or a songlist on the computer of songs that your significant other really likes.

Lottery tickets are always a nice little gift. My favorite little gifts are scratch off lottery tickets. You could simply get a blank card and write a nice little note in the card to your significant other and then put the lottery tickets in the card.

Candy or chocolate is good if your significant other has a sweet tooth. You could buy them a box of their favorite chocolates or make a little gift bag full of their favorite candies.

Is there a movie that your significant other really likes? You could go to a store that sells used or previously viewed movies and buy them the movie that they like. It will be cheaper to buy a previously viewed movie than one that has not been used.

Buy some flower seeds and plant them together. If your significant other likes flowers and has a spot to grow them, you could buy them some flower seeds and offer to help plant them. Then when the fresh flowers bloom, they can be taken inside and used as a centerpiece.

Go to the grocery store and buy some ingredients for your significant other's favorite meal. Cook them one of their favorite meals for dinner. Set up the table like you are in a restaurant. You could put candles on the table or dim the lights and have a romantic dinner at home.

Go to the bakery and buy a box of cookies that your significant other likes. You could also bake your own cookies. It doesn't have to be from scratch. You could buy cookie dough that is already made and just pop them in the oven for a nice little treat. Put the cookies in a container with a bow at the top, like you are giving them a little gift.

Cut up little pieces of paper that you can write on. Then write sweet little love notes on each paper. Fold the papers and put them into a nice decorated box or jar. Whenever your significant other is thinking about you, they can reach into the jar and read your little love notes.

A nice little picture frame with a picture of the two of you is a nice little gift. It could say something nice around the frame. I've actually found some nice picture frames at the dollar store.

If it is cold outside, you could buy your significant other a nice warm pair of slippers or a pair of mittens and a scarf. You could also buy them a box of hot chocolate and some marshmallows, a cuddly blanket or a pack of warm socks. This just shows that you care and want to help keep them warm when the weather is cold.

Buy them a book or magazine. Does your significant other like to read? If you know what kind of books or magazines that they like, you could pick one up at the grocery store or book store for them.
