Jennifer Moore
Christmas is right around the corner and now you are looking for inexpensive gifts to give. Try giving a unique gift such as edible gifts. People love to eat, so the gifts I am going to share with you are ones friends and family will love.

I bet everyone knows a person who cannot seem to get enough coffee. Mix up chocolate chip coffee.

Chocolate Chip Coffee

Ingredients:

Half cup powdered non-dairy creamer
One-cup mini chocolate chips
Two tablespoons vanilla powder
One fourth cup sifted powder sugar
Two cups nonfat dry powdered milk
Two thirds cup instant coffee crystals

Directions:

Combine creamer, sugar, vanilla and milk, layering with coffee crystals and chips into two cups. Tap cup to settle before adding the next layer. Continue until cup is full. Cover with lid and gift-wrap. Family and friends will love this gift because you made it with love and them in mind.

Fruit baskets make excellent edible gifts.

Directions:

Purchase a small to medium basket, next purchase various fruits such as apples, bananas, apricots, oranges, and any other fruit you know your friend might like. Arrange them in the basket with a homemade Christmas card from you. Gift-wrap and place a bow on top. Friends will love it because it comes from the heart.

Give your parent's or your grandparent an edible Christmas tree.

Edible Christmas tree

Ingredients:

Large ice cream cones
Sprinkles
Peppermints
Jelly candy
Lollipops
Any type of small candy you want to add
Green food coloring
Vanilla frosting

Directions:

Mix frosting and food coloring well. Punch a small hole in the pointed part of the ice cream cone; this will be where you place the lollipop later. Spread frosting until it covers the entire cone. Leave a couple small humps here and there. Next, press the candy onto the cones. Use the sprinkles to cover the decorative candy you just added. Push the lollipop into the hole on top of the cone. Place cones in a cardboard box and wrap. Parents and grandparent will love this gift from your heart.

Chocolate covered pretzels make a wonderful edible Christmas present.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Ingredients:

Pretzels
Six squares of white chocolate
One fourth cup sprinkles
Christmas tins
Red or green ribbons

Directions:

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, stirring frequently. Dip each pretzel halfway into chocolate, turn and dip other half. Lay pretzels on wax paper and drop sprinkles on top. Continue doing this until all pretzels are covered. Once they are completely dry and ready for gift giving. Place wax paper into tin and add your pretzels. Tie your ribbon around the tin and you are ready to give as a gift. This is a simple but wonderful Christmas gift to give to someone you love.

Hot chocolate and marshmallows in a cup

Directions:

Buy a box of hot chocolate and marshmallows, and place individual packets of hot chocolate into a large mug you have purchased. Place a few small marshmallows into a plastic baggy and slide in with the hot chocolate packets. Wrap with Christmas tissue paper and tie a bow at the top. Hot chocolate lovers will love this edible Christmas gift.

As you can tell, edible Christmas gifts are not hard to make and are inexpensive ideas. Remember, gifts that come from the heart are by far the best gifts to give and receive.

Nice ideas! After combining the ingredients for the chocolate chip coffee, what are the directions for making a cup? PM me, I would need to tell my recipient how to make this after giving it to them (awesome idea!)
