Having amazing lashes doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg anymore. While Dior and Chanel make fabulous lash extending mascaras, not everyone is willing or able to dish out top dollar for great lashes. Retail giants like Target and even your local pharmacy carry incredibly inexpensive mascaras that not only do the job but go that extra mile to make your lashes look supermodel perfect. As a matter of fact, most top make-up artists use and swear by Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara, which costs under $5 in most places and leaves you with perfect unclumped lashes.
Other great brands of mascara that are often overlooked are Wet & Wild, Rimmel, N.Y.C., and Physicians Formula to name a few. Both Wet & Wild and N.Y.C. mascaras are normally passed over in the thought that they are brands meant exclusively for the tweens and teens. However, both brands have excellent mascaras, such as Wet & Wild's MegaLash Mascara and N.Y.C.'s Curling Mascara, that won't clump and will even elongate and curl your lashes all for around $2 a tube. Amazing!
When it comes to mascara variety and great value, Rimmel is hard to beat. With mascaras called Lash Bling, Volume Flash, Lash Maxxx, and Eye Magnifier for around $7 a pop you can have long, lustrous lashes for a minimal price. These mascaras even come with great wands that rival any top-of-the-line competitors. Physician's Formula also comes with great prices and delivers a mineral Mascara and the Eyebrightener formula, both of which are gentle on the eyes but fab on the lashes.
The old adage that eyes are the windows to your soul may or may not be true, but eyes are definitely a focal point on a woman's face. Having long, neatly groomed lashes does wonders to enhance eyes of every shape and color. Mascara is a must-have in every woman's make-up kit, but going broke for fantastic lashes is just not necessary. Spend the money on a pampering pedicure and grab an inexpensive yet perfectly great tube of mascara at your local drugstore! We all know that looking good and saving money while doing so is worth batting your lashes about!
