There is always something to do during those summer weekends and it normally doesn't cost much to participate. Why not find out what's going on not only where you live, but locations that you have an interest to visit as well? You might be surprised at what going on this summer.
No matter how you decide to spend the summer in Michigan, it is fleeting and should be enjoyed to the fullest. There are many great ways to create memories with your family without breaking the bank. With a little thought and preparation, you can turn a trip to the lake, a festival, or a campground and canoe livery into a very special day that your kids will remember forever. If you are traveling from southern Michigan and heading Up North, you can make some great stops along the way. If you are heading to Traverse City or Mackinaw via Interstate 75, West Branch can be a wonderful stop for those needing to shop, eat, or just need a break.
