Here are some inexpensive ways to get rid of cellulite that actually work!
1. Clean out your pantry and fridge - Get rid of all your highly processed snacks and junk foods. Throw away your white bread, white sugar, white rice, and sweetened cereals. Stock up on 100% whole grain breads and cereals. If you must sweeten your food, use raw honey, raw agave nectar or molasses. Highly processed foods are most easily stored as fat and produce toxins your body has difficulty eliminating, so your body stores those toxins in the fat cells. Overstuffed, toxic fat cells are what gives cellulite it's gross "cottage cheese" appearance. Eating fresh, whole foods is much less expensive than fancy cellulite treatments, lotions or potions. It works a lot faster too!
2. Grab your sneakers - Walk, jog, or run as often as possible. Physical activities done on a regular basis are inexpensive ways to get rid of cellulite. Walking, jogging and running are three of the cheapest ways around to burn extra calories, reduce body fat and get rid of cellulite. If it's been years since you've exercised, you should begin to see results with as little as 15 minutes of walking per day. As your endurance increases, build your exercise time slowly until you reach 30 minutes of aerobic activity each day.
3. Body weight exercises - Squats, lunges, push-ups, chin-ups and crunches are all excellent and inexpensive ways to get rid of cellulite, build muscle and reduce body fat. Muscle burns more calories even when you are sleeping. The more muscle you have, the less cellulite you are likely to see. If you can get to the gym, so much the better, but body weight exercises done on a regular basis will work. Have you ever seen a bodybuilder or fitness model with cellulite on their tush? Me either!
4. Drink up - Your body requires 2 to 4 liters of water each day to stay hydrated. Without enough water, the metabolic functions of your body slow to a crawl. The body also can't eliminate wastes and toxins without the proper amount of water. Hydration is critical to fat loss and cellulite elimination.
5. Take your vitamins - A good multi-vitamin will go a long way in helping you get rid of cellulite. Providing your body with a regular supply of vitamins will help it function properly especially when combined with a proper diet and regular exercise. An additional B-complex vitamin and some extra Vitamin C can help ensure that your metabolism is running at top speed.
Getting rid of cellulite doesn't have to be expensive. Commercial cellulite treatments can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite, but they don't make it go away. To get rid of cellulite permanently, the guidelines above will get you off to a good start.
