Inexpensive Wii Christmas Gifts for Kids

ED Watts
If you want to buy a Christmas gift for someone who has a Nintendo Wii, but don't want to spend a lot of money, try one of these Wii gift suggestions.

Points Card

You can purchase a Wii points card for just under $20 at Wal-Mart or online. The card has 2000 points that can be used to purchase games from the Wii Shop Channel. Classic games cost 500 points each, so by purchasing this card, you're buying a Wii user four games to have fun with.

Extra Wii Remote

If the Wii owner only has one controller, buy him an extra remote so he can play games with friends. You can purchase a used Wii controller from Amazon for under $20.

Racing Wheel

If you know that the Wii owner is getting a racing game for Christmas, such as Mario Kart, buy a racing wheel - but don't give it until after she has received the game. You can purchase a new racing wheel from GameStop for $14.99.

Used Games

There are a ton of used Wii games available for purchase under $20. Shop eBay, GameStop, or Blockbuster to find the right Wii game to give for Christmas.

Wii Shop Channel Game

If you have any Wii points, you can purchase a game through Wii Shop Channel to give your fellow Wii user for Christmas. Since some of the older games only cost 500 points, you would only be using $5 of your own money/points on a game.

Wii Skin

Purchase a Wii skin that fits the personality of your Wii user. A variety of Wii skins are available online and at stores such as Wal-Mart and Target for under $10.

Classic Controller

If the Wii user you're buying for doesn't like the Wii controller, consider buying her a classic controller. This controller resembles the controller on the original NES and Super Nintendo systems and costs from $15 to $20 new at almost any store that sells Wii accessories.
