Infantino Recalls 'Troy The Truck' Due to Choking Hazard (4/04/11)

Consumers Are Being Offered a Free Replacement Toy

R.C. Johnson
Infantino LLC, of San Diego, Calif. has recalled about 40,500 toy activity trucks in the United States and 1,900 in Canada due to a choking hazard. The plastic beads on the activity truck's bead runs can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Infantino has received 28 reports of the plastic beads detaching from the bead runs on the activity trucks, including two reports of young children gagging on the plastic beads.

This recall involves "Troy the Activity Truck," which was manufactured in China. The truck is blue, red and yellow with plastic star, circle and heart beads attached to the bead runs on the back of the truck and has a face on the front. "Infantino" is printed on the front of the toy truck. Model number 153-210, 206-110 or 506-110C is printed underneath the truck. When its switch is turned on, the truck plays music and the back wheels spin.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toy away from children and contact Infantino to receive a free replacement toy.

Wow...its scary when the recalls are for children's toys. And I loved your article "Fresh Express Recalls Bagged Spinach: Possible Health Risk from Salmonella" but couldn't comment on it since it is a Health article and sadly, AC doesn't allow comments on these articles.
