Your actions cut me to the quick
Your apologies seem empty
The thought of you with him, makes me sick

I knew our commitment had it flaws
Our vows seem frivolous
Our wedding bands, gewgaws

Can our relationship be mended
Where do we go from here
A 20 year marriage simply ended

Can I forgive you
Can I forgive me
I've been an insensitive boob

My part in this I see
My neglect, my personal drive
I had a hand in your infidelity

Past the pain, can we find a way
An agreed common ground
A place where we both can stay

I love you is all I know
I don't want to lose
Love once again can grow
