Infinite, an Eminem Album from 1996, only ran 1000 copies in CD form. A few years ago, 50 Cent listed it for download on his website. Since then, it's on the internet for download if you know what you're doing with torrents or find a rare direct download website. This was exceedingly difficult for me, considering I have a parental filter on my internet because I use my neighbors, and apparently their son needs to be filtered.
Basically, this album's production quality is sub-par, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the music. There are only nine songs on this album, and one of them is sort of an introduction, as it's only 26 seconds long, so more like eight actual songs on the album.
The songs on this album are hit or miss. "Infinite" (the title track fo the album) is possibly the best track Eminem has ever recorded. Its lyricism is as good as I have ever seen. It is a powerful song, and it is one of the best rap tracks I've ever heard. "Backstabber" and "Never 2 Far" are also great tracks. The hooks aren't great, but the verses are lyrically incredible. The beats for all the songs on the album are pretty good, but they are definitely where the lower production value of the album shows. In most albums, the music sort of blends with the music. On this one, the beats feel like they were added later and posted on top of the music. This may just be because I use Beats by Dre, but the beats seem like they overpower the lyrics in most of the songs.
This album has 3 really great songs, but the other songs on the album are lacking. It may be because Eminem was so new to the game at the time, but many of the tracks on the album are mediocre.
This album is still worth picking up, of course, considering its legal to get it for free. It has some of the best tracks Eminem has recorded, and for that reason, it affords 5 out of 5 stars. Of course, parental advisory for kids, there's tons of swearing and inappropriate content, so listener beware.
Definitely grab a copy of this one if you love Eminem as much as I do. It'll be worth the time of finding a download link. I suggest Datpiff, considering it's free and simple to find, and you can download the whole album instead of individual tracks like I did.
Go. Download it. You'll find it worth your while.
