jobythebay
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, the same group that we watched at halftime during the Super Bowl, announced that they will be touring the country and the world starting April 1.

Tickets for the Hershey, Pa., show go on sale at noon Monday and cost $33.25, $69.25 and $99.25. You can buy them at the Giant Center Box Office, 950 W. Hersheypark Drive in Hershey or by phone at 534-3911 or 877-598-6504 or online at www.hersheypa.com/events. Some will also go on sale on Friday and Saturday, February 6 and 7.

Tickets will go on sale for most of the North America dates on February 2, that's today. There is a four ticket limit for the GA standing area and a general eight ticket limit.

The tour will take place mostly in stadiums and arenas, though the band will play one stadium show in North America, at Hersheypark Stadium, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, May 18. The United States tour ends with shows on May 21 and 23 in East Rutherford, NJ and then head to Europe.

Working on a Dream is expected to debut atop the Billboard 200 album chart when it is released next week.

Some areas are always sold out. All dates in June in both Sweden and Norway are sold out. He'll be in France, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Finland, Holland, Italy and Spain.

In the United States, in Boston, we will see Springstein and the E Street Band on April 21 and 22. Other states include Arizona, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Connecticut, New York, Virginia, Washington DC. They will also play in Ontario, Canada.

Watching the boss yesterday was amazing. He's as good as he was way back when - maybe even better. They opened the show with "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" and then "Born To Run." They also sang "Working On A Dream" followed,

Just as a reminder E Street Band's organist and keyboard player for 40 years died in April 2008 from melanoma (skin cancer).

Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, 59, is a legend. His styl of music is considered heartland rock with pop hooks, poet lyrics and Americana sentiments centered around his native New Jersey.(wikipedia) He has earned among others eighteen Grammies, two Golden Globes and an Academy Away for the movie Philadelphia and his song Streets of Philadelphia in 1993.

The Boss has sold over 65 million albums in the U.S, and 120 million worldwide. He is to married bandmate Patti Scialfa.

Now my question to you...Why didn't Springstein sing Born in the USA yesterday?

And congratulations to the Steelers!
