Information About Christian Writer's Groups

If you are a Christian writer, one thing that you should be a part of are Christian writers groups. These groups have many valuable resources that will help you get to publication. Here are a few groups that I have found.

Christian Writers' Group International, Inc.

This is a non profit organization that helps writers through providing scholarships, support, sharing ideas and tips and attending seminars or conferences. Beginning writers, published writers, publishers and editors are all welcome to join. Membership is fee, as it is a Yahoo Group.

Christian Writers Fellowship International

This organization has been around for 30 years. Membership benefits include a newsletter, The Cross & Quill, which includes articles, editors and writers; personal help with writing; books to order to help with your writing; promoting members books; help with contracts and agents and much more. Membership prices start at $45 for an entire year, to $120 for three years, for U.S. There is also an option just to subscribe to the newsletter, which is $25 for a year to $70 for three years.

Faith Writers

This website has free membership. Writers can post their stories, articles and poetry, have a lot of exposure to your work, get critiques, enter contests, take free courses, take advantage of many freelance job opportunities and a whole lot more. Faith writers is a place where you can grow in your craft that truly cares about you.

Shoutlife

Shoutlife is a Christian social networking website for comedians, writers, musicians, people, organizations and groups. It's free to join. For writers, you can show all of your published work, use a calendar to tell everyone about any upcoming book signings, or your next new release. It is free to join.

Christian Writers Workshop

This website accepts Christian writers from all different genres, and levels. This group meets on a chat website at iuniverse. In their workshops they have a guest speaker who answers questions about what they do in the industry. The newsletter is called Wordsmith Shoppe News, it is published every Monday. In it there are opportunities, news, the workshop schedule, prayer requests and conference information.

Join Gather free and get critiqued if you want and post all of your work. Make friends and find information about the Christian writing market or share what you find with others. This group says that your work doesn't't have to be about Christianity or God, but must have Christian values.
