Initials, the new group featuring Fred Mascherino (the Color Fred) and Andy Jackson (Hot Rod Circuit) and bassist Steve Lucarelli (ex-Once Nothing)--have officially announced Josh Eppard (ex-Coheed and Cambria) as their drummer. The original lineup included drummer Anthony Martone (ex-VersaEmerge).

Back in September Mascherino was in Alabama during a acoustic tour with the Color Fred and ended up meeting Jackson. The meeting led to the pair putting their own side projects aside to form Initials, with the intent to perform straight-ahead rock music . After adding Lucarelli and Martone, a super group was formed.

The band began touring with Martone but with a number of other projects coming up, the rest of the band wanted to find a permanent drummer and Eppard came in as a perfect fit.

"Since the lineup hadn't been totally solidified yet, and Anthony had other projects coming up, we wanted to makes sure we were all committed to Initials, and that's when Josh [Eppard] walked in and the chemistry was solid. Anthony is a good friend and an amazing drummer, and we wish him well on his other projects!" explained Mascherino.
