Initiation Ceremonies in Witchcraft

Witchcraft is something that cannot be brushed under the carpet. There are many people who are influenced by this cult and form groups that further this aspect of the occult. Normally the members of a particular group that practice witchcraft will meet at regular intervals .Such meetings are normally secluded affairs and not publicized. The Devil who goes by other names like Beelzebub, Satan or Lucifer is supposed to preside over these congregations.

New members who are to be inducted into the sect are initiated into the group at these meetings. The essence of which is that the new comer must give himself or herself to the devil body and soul. Normally for an initiation ceremony the concerned members along with the new member constitute a meeting called the Coven. To all members of the Coven, the presiding person is the Devil. The person being initiated is required to give his or hers body to the devil. . This was and still remains a major part of the initiation ceremony. One of my friends who attended a initiation ceremony had this to tell me. He observed that in a dimly lighted hall the gathering congregated. In the centre was a raised platform probably a table or a couch on which a light shown directly. The ceremony started with Devil undressing himself in front of the gathering and then donning a long loose robe. A lady who had to be initiated into the cult was led to altar in the centre of the room and asked to lie down on the raised platform. The Devil then slowly undressed the lady. The devil asked her in a clear resounding voice for all to hear a set of questions. "Do you agree to be the Devil's disciple?" he asked.

On her affirmative reply he asked again

"Do you agree to give yourself to the Devil and receive his seed?"

"Yes" replied the lady.

"Do you agree to bear the fruit of the Devils seed?"

On her assent the Devil positioned the woman in a manner where all present could see the part she was to give up to the Devil.

He then observed that 2 or 3 volunteers went up to the girl and physically began to try and rouse her to make her perhaps 'fit' for the devil. At the same time a young girl went up to the representative of Satan, lifted up the robe to raise the Devil to rigidity. The final part was again played before the audience as the 'Devil' now doffing his robes positioned himself for the final assault. After the Devil had partaken of the woman she was kept on the altar and offered to other covens who also had sex with her

There is a factual tale of a young girl who was offered to the "Devil" by her own father. The girl not more than13 or 14 was brought by the father and laid on the altar. The Devil then hovered on the girl and mated with her to the loud applause of the gathering. Later the chief coven chanting that he was the Devil asked the father to obey him and have carnal intercourse with his offspring. Earlier times ceremonies were more bizarre and sacrifices of virgins was an accepted norm in these devils conclaves. But that was in a bygone age and is not at all prevalent now.

The actual initiation ceremony into the mysteries of witchcraft is a exciting experience. The aspirant needs to be introduced to the gathering. Before the assembled covens the aspirant will have to renounce any former faith and then would gift his or hers body to the Devil. One may well ask as to why such Devils meetings are dominated by the sex act. The answer is simple as the devil represents carnal pleasure to prayer by God, hence the stress on the sensual and sexual gratification is part of these rituals

This is pretty much the stuff of fiction, fantasy and rumors. Having been a Witch for 20 years, member of a coven, gone to many large gatherings regularly, I've never seen or experienced anything in the least bit like this. The only people in the last 20 years who have brought up any devil character are Christians... since vast majority of Witches are not Satanists this notion just doesn't come up in our gatherings. You're entitled to your own faith and religious beliefs, everyone is... you are entitled to disagree with Witches, however the fair-minded thing to do would be to stop relying on rumor and unverifiable anticdotes and investigate what Witches actually do believe in and do before participating in the spread of lies. Disagreement is always fair; spreading falsehoods is irresponsible and deliberate slander. By the way, most Witch groups and covens do advertise for anyone interested. You can find local events, group contacts and meetings ate websites like witchvox.com.
