Some mouse and keyboard combo's are cabled while others are wireless. A friend suggested that a wireless keyboard would free up the jumble of cables dangling behind my computer while giving me more freedom to move around. So, I visited a local retailer's computer department. The Inland Pro Wireless 2.4GHZ Optical Mouse Keyboard caught my eye. I was looking for an economical keyboard mouse combo that was durable, reliable and easy to install. The Inland Pro Wireless 2.4 GHZ Optical Mouse Keyboard Combo seemed perfect. So, of course I purchased the combo, wondering if a keyboard and mouse combination even at such a low price was worth the investment.
Getting Started
The Inland Pro Wireless 2.4 GHZ Optical Mouse Keyboard Combo is actually very durable looking and a good weight. Many of the cheaper keyboard and mouse combo's appear rather flimsy. It took about five minutes to remove my cabled mouse and keyboard and install the wireless mouse and keyboard. The mouse uses two AA batteries which were included. They are easily installed in the mouse by slipping the cover off and snapping the batteries into the compartment inside the mouse. A USB receiver is also included with the package. Simply plug the USB receiver into any available port on the computer. The USB receiver receives power through the computer port and picks up signals from the mouse and keyboard.
The mouse and keyboard should light up to show that they are transmitting the signal to the USB receiver. Don't worry if there is a slight delay or pause when first starting. After repeating operations several times the receiver seems to work more efficiently.
I would definitely give a thumbs up to the Inland Pro Wireless 2.4GHZ Optical Mouse Keyboard Combo. They are easy to plug and play. No installation with disk required. Working wireless gives you a certain amount of freedom to move about that is lacking with a cabled combo. The keyboard and mouse feel substantial and the combo work seamlessly with a Windows computer.
