Inmates Get High on Hand Sanitizer
Not the Sharpest Knives in the Drawer
I just read an article in the Washington Post about the lengths inmate's will go to in order to get a hit. In a case, a 49 year old Maryland inmate got sick after he drank from a gallon-container of hand santizer. Doctor's found that he was not ill just extremely drunk....on....Purell.
Purell is made up of 70% alcohol - beer is 5% and wine is 12%. The inmate in question was described as being "calm but lecturing everyone about life."
Some experts are now calling for limited access to hand sanitizers in rehab clinics, prisons and hospitals.
Just a quick unusual story I came across today...thought I would share it with you.
