What is Your "Catch Phrase?"
Have you ever noticed that some of the companies you remember the most have effective catch phrases? We know that Allstate employees are the "good hands people." We also know that "the best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup." These are just a few examples of effective catch phrases companies use in their marketing strategies. I am sure you can think of many more. If you have a catch phrase for your company or product, what does it say? You want to stress what you want people to remember about your product or services. It could be a bold move to change an ineffective catch phrase and may be the one thing that puts you a step ahead of your competitors.
How "User-Friendly" is Your Website?
A website is almost an essential for companies and product manufacturers in today's global marketplace. Millions of people search the internet everyday to find products and services. There are several steps you can take to ensure people stay on your website instead of searching for another. You need an attention-grabber. This could be in the form of well-done graphics or an animation. The page needs to load quickly. If people have to spend too much time waiting for your page to load, they will go elsewhere. Navigability is important. Is information easy to find, or is it hidden among long, wordy paragraphs? If you have links to other mini-sites, make sure none of the links are broken and they take the reader to the correct page. Having a well-done website could give the competitive edge your business needs.
Other Advertising Ideas
There are many avenues to pursue in advertising your business, product or services. You want to do something that no one else is doing; or, you want to do it better. You could consider a strategically placed billboard. Before deciding to use billboard advertising, you should consider how many potential customers would be driving by the billboard on a daily basis, since billboard advertising can be expensive. Sponsoring a local radio broadcast or sporting event could also be another effective advertising strategy. Offering price incentives, such as coupons, can also be very effective in bringing in new customers.
