Innovex RLS Fairway Woods

Another Hidden Gem!

The Innovex RLS fairway wood does not look like anything special at first glance. In fact it looks quite plain and boring, some might even say cheap. But you are by far missing the big picture with this great club!

Innovex Golf has been around a few years now and have made some very solid golf products. The RLS fairway wood is one of them and while its product cycle is about through, this wood will see a lot of use from its players for years to come!

The main thing with the fairway wood in my opinion is how they were able to blend a classic look with modern playability. The wood features a clean, pear shaped head with a black paint finish and polished face and sole. The club is absolutely beautiful when you set it down. The square face angle in this model is also a feature that myself and a lot of players love about this club. Next, the head is the your typical size for a fairway wood and is not too bulky.

Next and most important, the driver features a "cup-face" design. The entire face is one solid piece of 455 Carpenter Steel. This not only adds to the clubs stability, but it makes the entire face area a sweet spot! I have not yet seen another fairway wood that features the "cup-face" design to this day! This works wonders for me as I strike the ball a little high on the toe area which produces a high draw for me. I could not tell I was hitting the ball anywhere but in the dead center of the club head even though my ball marks will still in the same spot as any other driver I have used.

The Innovex RLS is a great fairway wood which comes in many loft and shaft options. This club is highly workable if you like to shape the ball right to left, but is also very straight if you put your normal swing on it. The total design of this club makes it a perfect fir for all players from your scratch to high handicapper! I used one for two years and am waiting to see what's next for the 2008 season. I doubt I will find a replacement for my current line of Magique woods, but this is a great up and coming company to keep an eye out for next season!

You will have no problem matching a loft and shaft combo to match your swing speed requirements. I would highly recommend this wood to anyone while they are still available!
