Our insecurities can pile high
Leaving us paralyzed to pursue our dreams
Afraid to fail; we lose the heart to try
Unable to move from the bottom
The stepping stone for everyone else's ascent
We boost others toward their aspirations
But our own failures we continue to lament
The failure we feel is within ourselves
Our insecurity suffocates our dreams
We try to breathe life into our shattered hopes
But sometimes we manage only frightened screams
We must learn to recognize our strengths
Leave our insecurities in a pile on the floor
Reach for the dream we once thought impossible
And see the unexpected come knocking at the door

Donna this is so very well said. It is only when we are willing to try in spite of our insecurities that we will see our dreams and wishes realized.
you always make people think
This is encouraging.
I keep listening and hoping it's never too late for my dreams to come true.
Encouragin words indeed!
Truth.
I love it! Your words remind me of how much we've come to expect of ourselves and how we tend to let ourselves get depressed for not meeting our own expectations. Great reminder on letting little insecurities go and starting anew :)
Inspirational and well penned! Loved BDK's fun comment too!
