The campaign is one of the best things about this game. Each mission contains small intricate tasks such as saving civilians or viewing a nuclear strike from space that help contribute to the game's excitement. Each civilian is locked into a room in which the player must break into. During this process, the user has time slowed down for them in order to kill enemies. Users also are allowed to use a drone to call in strikes, make perilous leaps, and commit assassinations from above and below.
The multiplayer in COD also has new features. Players are rewarded after every killing streak they obtain. For example, five straight kills allows players to call in a Predator missile strike. Players still have to achieve higher rankings in order to play in more advanced game types such as Capture the Flag and Demolition. Each game type still has a maximum of 18 players per game, but the size of maps allow users to hide and stealth and never be detected. Activision has also announced that they will add two more maps that can be downloadable sometime during the spring.
The special operations are very nice touch to the game play. Missions can be completed with the aid of another player and contain a total of 23 missions. Most missions contains 3 levels of difficulty while others have time limits that determine how many stars a player receives if successful in completing the mission. Missions are divvied up between 5 groups: Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta, and Echo.COD received ratings of 10/10 from the official Xbox magazine and 9.5/10 from IGN. This game features brand new graphics that help realistically portray warfare. Brand new weapons and player customization during multiplayer have helped make this game a huge success. This is one of the best games out on the market right now and I highly recommend playing it as it will no doubt be a thrilling experience.
