Insomnia - V

Insomnia - V

Thirty
past six;
night begins to dance
her recession from the stage
and day
unfurls his banner.

Fearing no man,
endlessly awake
for the silent,
dark,
hours, he
begins to breathe.

Abandoned streets
find a slow life
and in the sound
of traffic
Bones
finds signs
he is alive.

Finds signs
of the human side.
Finds signs
whispering once more
of safeness.

Safe.
To sleep.
