I gave it a try myself before having my grandson try it. It has a light bubble gum flavor, and is pink in color. It has a pre-measure cup at the top of the bottle which is part of the bottle. A tube comes up through the cup and has a hole on the side of the tube near the top. This is where the fluoride rinse comes out. You squeeze the bottle lightly till it fills up to the 10 ml. line. Then tip the cup towards your mouth and once in your mouth swish around and between your teeth for 1 minute. At the end of one minute spit the rinse out, but do not rinse. It also says do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes. So make sure you are not hungry before you do this. I have noticed with using the Inspector Hector Anti-cavity Fluoride rinse that my teeth are not as sensitive as they use to be. Which at my age is a good thing.
So my next step was to have my grandson try it out. I decided since he did such a good job of swishing with the Inspector Hector Plaque Detector that I would have him stick with the 30 seconds at a time, and I would only give him 1/2 of the 10 ml. to start with. He really liked the color, and was eager to try a drop on his finger to see if he would like it. I told him it was like the blue gum Inspector Hector. So I let him squeeze the bottle and stopped him when he was at 1/2, I had already taken a marker and marked the 5 ml. on the outside of the cup. I told him we were going to blow up our cheeks again. One cheek then the other. When I said time was up he spit it out, remembering from Inspector Hector Plaque protector. Then we did one more rinse with the other 1/2 of the rinse.
There is a caution not to swallow and if accidentally taken too much to call poison control.
Stop by www.inspector-hector.com they have a unique site, with games and facts. I played them along with my grandson. He told me what to do. LOL.
I received Inspector Hector Tooth Protector Anti-cavity Fluoride rinse from Fleishman Hillard for my honest opinion.
