walk lightly over the abyss
and let your footfalls disturb none
for the waking of the evil lies
in all that's said and done.
and when in morning darkness falls
the shadow of the idea,
blow into your hands and wish the sun
and pray that deeds can be undone.
and whisper softly to the demons
of your heart and of your past.
whisper to the falling falling
as you're rising, burning fast.
and sleep above mount olympus.
and lie to the truth inside.
and watch the birds fly far below.
and pray. and wait to die.
