Inspirational Bible Versus

These are biblical versus that have shaped my life and will help others seeking inspiration in their daily lives.

Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want -- . KJV

Saying prayers at bedtime was a nightly ritual growing up as a child. My parents encouraged me to speak from my heart this started at the age of four or five so I probably included praying for a new Shera castle dropping hints to god and my parents. Seriously, in addition to my own prayers, the first prayer I was taught Psalm 23: I recall reciting that regularly however not fully understanding meaning or power behind it at the time, but I remember loving prayer Lord prayer. Even at a very young age I knew that prayer was special it provided a sense of reassurance so when I was away from my parents I still felt safe and secure.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. KJV

My grandfather is a pastor and the most honest genuine man I know. Several years ago I called him because I felt lost about my belief in god, and questioned many decisions made in my young adult life. I clearly remember his response; in that southern pastor teaching tone "April you write this down and don't ever forget it because this will always help you in any situation" then he quoted the Prov 3:5-6. I prayed over those scriptures and allowed my heart to open to recieve a better understanding of spirituality. Over time I realized you cannot solely depend on yourself there has to be a force greater than you to handle life's evolving complexities.

1Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. KJV

The whole chapter of 1Corinthians 13 is meaningful especially the last verse. This chapter outlines what I consider my pursuit of happiness: faith, hope, and love. All three are applicable to all areas of life. Initially the chapter explains having faith and hope then maturing in your spiritual growth to understand true love. Not the love when you meet someone and get butterflies, it is selfless love, its agape.

Love remains even when faith and hope is gone or when that faith and hope comes to fruition. I moved to New York for career purposes based on pure hope and faith.I reached my goal of moving and getting settled after a year now. Despite my struggles I love every success and every mistake continually striving to love and give selflessly in everything I set my
heart and mind to do.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. KJV

This particular scripture is in reference to believing in God since no one as ever seen him, I also use this scripture as rule of life. We all have stories of challenging situations with the worst circumstances but then there is a breakthrough. When reflecting on those moments, we may laugh, cry or just be thankful because you found a way to overcome those conditions

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. NKJV

I believe helping and serving others is the greatest reward. Life is not all about career goals, money or social status. Its easy to get so involved in our lives and not consider how we could be useful vessel in another person's life.
