Inspirational Verses for Young People!

Shaila D Touchton
God expects everyone to obey His commandments, learn to love and fear the Lord, and to follow the will of God by seeking Godly ways.

Here is what the scriptures say for young people:Colossians 3:20:Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

1 Timothy 4:12:Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

1 Samuel 15:23:Rebellion is as bad as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as bad as worshiping idols

1 Peter 5:5-9:Be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

James 1:13:When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

Ephesians 6:1-3:Do what your parents tell you. This is only right. 'Honor your father and mother' is the first commandment that has a promise attached to it, namely, 'so you will live well and have a long life

Proverbs 23:22:Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

Proverbs 1:10:My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them

Exodus 20:12:Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you

Joshua 1: 7-9:Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Ecclesiastes 12:1:Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them"

Matthew 26:41:Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.

1 Timothy 4:12:Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

2 Timothy 3:15-17 : and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
