1. Click on Start, select Control Panel, then select Appearance and Themes.
Tip: If you have the classic view in your Control Panel you will need to click on the Fonts icon.
2. Once you are in Appearance and Themes, click on Fonts. You will see this on the left side under the "See Also" menu.
Tip: If you do not see this on the left side of your screen go back to your Control Panel. Once there, click on "Switch to Classic View" on the left side of your screen and then look for and click on the Fonts icon.
3.1 Once you have done that, click on File, Install New Font, and then select the drive and folder that contain the font/s you want to install, then click ok.
Tip: When you are downloading your new fonts, save them to your desktop and unzip them there also. This will help you to erase those folders easily once you're done with the installation. Make sure to not forget to erase those folders once you have installed the fonts in order to not have unneeded mess on your computer.
3.2 An alternative to the above step is to open the folder that has the font file in it and then just drag it or copy and paste it to the Fonts folder you now have open.
Tip: Doing this will be easier and faster if you have more than 3 fonts to install. Open up all of the folders containing the font files and drag them all to your open Fonts folder. Once you're done, close them all and clean up your unneeded files that were saved on your desktop.
Once you have finished installing all of the fonts that you want, you can open up a word document, type in a couple of words, then go to Format, and change look for your new fonts in the list that comes up. You should be able to find your new fonts by doing this. If you do not find the fonts you installed, it means that you did something wrong and you will need to start the whole process over again.
