Insurance Industry Blackmails People's Representatives

Time Has Arrived for the Democrats to Decide Whether They Want to Stand with Their Own Voters or a Handful of Insurance CEOs

Insurance industry need think only about CEO's deep pockets, but Democrat representatives will not be returning to Capitol Hill if their voters' lives are meddled with.

It is a shame that insurance industry wants to harass and mug the citizens of this country.

Brains who demand that the people of this country should be penalized to make profits for their bosses are akin to the brains of broad daylight robbers.

And to commit broad daylight robbery and muggery, they don't need their MBAs or JDs.

They might as well get out of their plush offices, come to the streets of Manhattan and start mugging the people on the street.

After all who gave them the right to issue threats and blackmail to the Congress?

That, if a bill is passed, they will jack up the prices?

OK, go ahead and jack up the prices. Nothing will happen other than bankrupting their own companies.

Earlier they were cocksure that influencing some top Democrats will do the trick.

And those handful Democrats gleefully stepped in.

Yet as the initial euphoria died down, the real picture dawned on the same Democrats. Some of their colleagues too drew the real picture for them.

And that truth is:

Most Democrats won't be returning to the Capitol Hill after next elections, if they meddle with their own vote bank.

Supporting the insurance companies is short-sighted. Maximum they can do is pump in millions on the sly replenishing the campaign funds.

Supporting the voters is far-sighted because the real power rests with the voters.

Any way we will soon see whether the Democratic top guns will go with their voters or with insurance friends.

In short, the trump card is with the voter - to determine whether Democrats will come back to Capitol Hill or not after the next elections. Not the insurance CEOs, even with their fabulous campaign contributions.

In recent history, the Democratic party has consistently shown a penchant to destroy its own vote bank. Republicans got elected not because of their own pluses but because of Democrats' minuses.

Republican party is a cadre party and their votes are solid. They will not sway. Democratic party's votes are floating and will sway to the opposite if they are meddled with.

Unless Democrats have the guts to keep the promises given to their own voters, their loser history will be repeated.
