Some interesting, yet basic, Agnes Bruckner facts include being born in August of 1985 where after she spent most of her youth in the Valley of California. Her mother was born in Russia, her father in Hungary. Although, her surname is actually of German origin. Bruckner's parents came to the United States as refugees about a year before Agnes was born. In an interview with Movies Online, the actress says her parents ended up in the Los Angeles area because her mother wanted to move to "wherever Disneyland is".

It was also her mother who got her started in the acting business. She got a young start as a television actress when she was cast at age 11 as "Bridget Forrester" on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. But at this stage of her acting career, and despite the fact she describes herself as "always loving to be in front of the camera", she has said she was mostly just following the wishes of her mother.

It would be four more years before she would discover her own passion for becoming an actress. During an interview with Michael J. Lee of Radio Free Entertainment, she says she "fell in love with it" after working on the movie Blue Car.

Before becoming an actress though, she had dreams of being a dancer.
