The New Testament contains 7, 959 verses. The New Testament has 27 books. The longest book in the New Testament is Acts with 28 chapters. The Ephesians 3:1, Philippians 1:7, Colossians 4:3 and Philemon, were written by Paul while he was in prison.
The number 7 appears often in The Bible and is considered to represent completion, perfection or wholeness. The number 40 also carries meaning in the Bible and represents change, or the ushering in of a new era or period.
The first person to be named a Hebrew in the Old Testament is Abraham.
Acts 11:26 in the New Testament is first place in The Bible in which the word Christian is mentioned.
In the Bible, Samson is the strongest man. In The Bible, Solomon is the wisest man. The phrase "Do not be afraid" appears in The Bible 365 days, which is parallel to the amount of days in a year. The first animal out of Noah's Ark was a raven.
The translation of The Bible into English was started by John Wycliffe and finished by John Purvey in 1388. In 1535 the first English language Bible was published.
