Interesting Ways to Eat Peanut Butter

I love peanut butter! I have eaten it on some unusual items. I've found some other choices of foods that can accompany peanut butter, that even I think are strange! Peanut butter is good for kids, people who need a little protein fix, or others who just love it!

Fruit is a great friend of peanut butter! I eat apple slices and dip them in peanut butter. Pears are also a good choice to use. Bananas, peanut butter, and some bread make a wonderful sandwich. This was Elvis's favorite snack! Peanut butter mixed with raisins is quiet tasty. Coconut and peanut butter are an interesting combination too. Well, everyone loves jam and peanut butter.

Vegetables can be eaten with peanut butter. I have eaten carrots with peanut butter on them. Peanut butter, pickles, and bread create an exotic sandwich. Celery is a common vegetable eaten with peanut butter in the center. White cabbage, some fruits, yogurt, and peanuts make a tropical coleslaw dish. Onion, hot pepper jam, and some other items, here, make a soup.

Grains are a popular way to consume peanut butter. Muffins with peanut butter are healthier than plan butter. Waffles, pancakes, and bread are other sources of grains that taste great with peanut butter. I love to eat half of a cup of oatmeal mixed with one tablespoon of peanut butter.

Dairy items can be combined with peanut butter to make some delicious deserts. Cookies, cheesecakes, bars, cakes, puddings, fudge, and many other options are available for using peanut butter. Ice cream with a few scoops of peanut butter are so good. Cream cheese or marshmallows are another good choice to use with peanut butter too!

Meat is no exception when combining this famous food! Bacon, beef, chicken, or shrimp when used with peanut butter, or peanuts, can spruce up any entree. Pea-nutty chicken piccata, Chinese chicken salad with ginger peanut dressing, peanut sauce for grilled beef, chicken or shrimp, or Thai beef salad with spicy peanut dressing can be made here.

If these are a little too adventurous for you, you can always eat peanut butter right out of the jar. If your thinking, "Peanut butter is too fating!" Actually, it isn't bad for you at all. Fortunately, 80% of the fat in peanut butter is unsaturated fat, good for you, which may actually help LDL-cholesterol levels in your blood, weight loss, and diabetic diets. Essential fatty acids helps maintain skin by carrying many fat soluble vitamins such as A, D and E. The two main types of fat are: saturated and unsaturated.

Saturated fat is not healthy and peanut butter only contains 3 grams of it. Unsaturated fat is healthy, much like avocados, and peanut butter is 80 percent polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats. Trans fat is in peanut butter because of the oil added to it. The oil helps the peanut butter from separating, prolongs self life, and adds to the creamy texture. Don't worry, Eat peanut butter and be happy!
