Internal Chord Voice #3 with Melodic Movement

Doctorn
This internal chord voicing places the melodic motion on the second string of the guitar. Because it is a form based on a chord form that has two root notes it is a fairly strong sounding chord and with the melodic line on the last string of a strum it is also a strong melodic form. This has a rather large finger stretch, but has a lot of flexibility in playability in modern music.

This is an F major chord.

If the melodic line was lowered one more fret you would have an F+5 chord, but the amount of stretch required is sufficient that you may not want to add that into the progression. Again this chord format can be moved up and partially down the neck of the guitar. As you move this particular progression up the neck it is actually a little easier to finger because the frets are closer together down the neck. Internal chords with melodic voices provide a great way to hear the possibilities of ways that chords support and enhance melody. Practice this chord progression in a descending and ascending melodic direction.
