International Dialing at Domestic Rates!

Welcome to Wal-Mart and TracFone

John Melendez
Cheap Cell Phone Service

Some folks have little need for a cellular telephone. They either keep one handy for emergency purposes only, or hit the dial button for those rare occasions when they just have to speak with someone. There are also those cell phone users who want to know exactly how much they are paying at any given moment, and how many minutes they have left on minutes they have purchased.

If you fall into either of these categories, then TracFone cellular or other copycat services are the one for you.

Wal-Mart's TracFone

Of the more common places to buy a TracFone is your neighborhood Wal-Mart. Though some may condemn the purchase of anything from the global retail giant, there are some deals which are just too difficult to pass up. Enter TracFone cellular and the service that backs it up.

TracFone is one of several affordable cell phone services that have sprung up in recent years, aimed at roping up those customers who shy away from painfully expensive monthly access fees and over-the-limit use fees. T-Mobile, Verizon, and a host of other mobile wizards have thrown in on the affordable phone service bandwagon. Among several attractive features that TracFone flaunts is its uplink to the Verizon telecommunication system.

Think: generic brand Verizon at the generic price, with a Verizon quality phone connection.

But that's not enough...

Leave it up to Wal-Mart and TracFone to offer something at a better value than the rest of the guys. So now it seems they've done it again.

Great Value Is Now Even Cheaper

Given the large immigrant constituency of the national population nowadays, we have people among us who harken originally from India, China, Mexico, Europe, and other places abroad. These folks all need to "phone home". Aside from this we have the advent of business globalization, where there is an ever-growing need for international business education on the cheap.

Again steps up TracFone and the service it offers.

As one of the little-known benefits that TracFone offers is overseas dialing at regular domestic rates.

As paraphrased from its customer website, TracFone claims it is the only wireless service where someone can call internationally for the same price as any other call. Calls may be placed to over 60 international destination countries from a TracFone at no extra cost. One merely needs to dial an 800 number from their Tracfone, and then dial-in the standard international access code, country code, and the rest of the destination phone number.

Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!

Depending on what plan you have purchased for your TracFone, this may add up to an overall cheap proposition - "cheap" in the inexpensive sense of the word!

PS: Don't Just Take My Word for It

A migrant worker friend of mine recently bought a TracFone and activated it. Given that he can call his buddies anywhere in country as well as Mamma and Abuelita back in Guadalajara, he and la familia are pretty darn happy.

Condemnable as the Wal-Mart stigma may be to some, its alliance with TracFone and the service they collectively offer are keeping at least one family in touch with one another. Very happy indeed!
